It’s Get Out the Vote time at the DNC and on campaigns across the country. Before Election Day, millions of Americans will cast their ballots – in person or by mail – in the 33 states and the District of Columbia that allow some form of early voting. If you live in one of these states, make sure you’re one of them.
Why? Because when Democrats vote early, Democrats win.
Early voting makes the task of voting easy and convenient to do, helping folks avoid the stress of juggling commutes, jobs, and child care and finding the time to make it to their polling places. That’s why we’ve developed IWillVote.com, a resource where you can make a plan for casting your ballot, whether in person or by mail.
As Democrats, we support making voting easier for everyone because we believe our democracy is stronger when more people participate in the process. As President Clinton said when he launched the DNC’s Voter Expansion Project, “We’ve never solved one single problem with less democracy. We’ve never moved forward with less participation.”
That’s why we want you to participate in early voting this year. Visit IWillVote.com to find out if your state allows voters to cast a ballot before November 4th. Once you make your voice heard, be sure to encourage your friends and family to do the same by sharing your commitment to vote on social media. You can even make a fancy graphic to share on Commit2Vote.com (mine’s below!).
Election Day has already started. With your help, we can get out the vote — starting now.
